In a nutshell, come and stay in our 3 bedroom purpose built Accessible Farm-stay, that caters for everyone’s needs.

With a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one fully accessible) large open plan living area and sweeping private views across the paddocks to the Watagan Mountain Foothills, our Farmstay is the perfect place for a short respite break or relaxing hideaway for a week or two.

Minimum stays are for 2 nights. This house can comfortably sleep 6 people with more options available. You will love it here at Yara Balba Stables- there is plenty to do and see, or -do nothing (maybe watch one of the 500 DVDs we have for you!

Stables Studio Cabin

Cosy “hugge” space for tiny retreats

Visit our working farm with boutique equestrian facilities and events going on, an active art studio & workshop, with the Stables Studio Cabin accommodation just 1.5hrs Nth of Sydney CBD. Located close to Lake Macquarie and just off the M1 Interchange at Morisset, you are also at the gateway to the famous Hunter Valley Wine District, scenic Central Coast area and the busy cultural city of Newcastle (all around only 30-45mins drive away).

Relax, explore, stay! This is accommodation on a farm, so expect the unexpected- no en-suite toilet, no spa. Sleeping quarters are completely separate to the bathroom (a short 50 metre walk across the lawn) BUT we have a cabin kitchenette with bar fridge, small microwave, toaster, kettle, the basics-(no cooking facilities).

There is a fabulous private deck with sweeping views across the arena, farm paddocks and manicured lawn area. Off street parking is close by and the township of Morisset has everything you’d ever need including restaurants, take-aways, supermarkets, railway station and services is only five minutes drive away.

Come along for a simple, fuss free weekend to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, view the original cabin artworks, see kangaroos and wallabies hopping by, watch the horses graze and get away from it all. The Art Studio can be utilised for aspiring artists looking to get back in touch with their creative selves.
